How to work it out
Litres = distance ÷ km per litre. Cost = litres × price per litre. Example: 500 km at 16 km/l uses 31.25 litres. At DKK 14.29/l the trip costs DKK 446.56.
If you use l/100 km, km per litre = 100 ÷ l/100 km. A car's stated consumption is often lower than in reality, especially in winter and at high speed.
